Classic Bullet Time presents a moment as a back-and-forth movement between several captured viewpoints. Gaussian Splatting expands these captures into a three-dimensional scene. This allows the virtual camera to move more freely through the space. Transitions appear smoother and additional motion effects become possible.

    A classic Bullet Time setup can also be used for Gaussian Splatting. The computed movements appear smoother and can be enhanced with additional effects.

How the shoot works

One brief moment. The result straight to your phone.

The capture takes little longer than a regular photo. Our team helps with ideas, guides the shoot and supervises the system throughout the event. Just 3 to 6 seconds later, guests see their Bullet Time loop and can take it with them straight away.

    Idea and direction

    Many guests arrive at the shooting area with a pose or movement already in mind. Our team offers ideas when needed and guides them through the capture.

    Freeze or movement

    For Gaussian Splatting, all cameras capture one moment at the same time. For an animated Bullet Time sequence, they can instead fire in succession.

    Bullet Time loop

    The classic Bullet Time loop is ready after 3 to 6 seconds. It is delivered directly to a smartphone, by email or through a sharing kiosk.

    3D Gaussian splat

    The splat is calculated in around 30 to 40 seconds and delivered as a video. Motion effects, branding and format are tailored to the event.

For higher volumes, optional processing hardware can distribute the calculation across several computers. This makes the finished animations available quickly enough for direct delivery to guests' smartphones, even when many captures are being processed.

How does a Gaussian Splat photobooth differ from classic Bullet Time?

Classic Bullet Time shows a moment as movement between fixed camera perspectives. Gaussian Splatting calculates a three-dimensional scene from a simultaneous freeze capture. This enables smoother camera moves, free changes of perspective and additional spatial effects.

Which people or objects can be captured?

Depending on the concept, the focus can be on individual guests, groups, selected objects or a designed scene. With sufficient space and a backdrop at least 4 metres wide, groups of more than 20 people are also possible. The right arrangement depends on the subject, effect and output format.

How much space, power and setup time are required?

A system with 6 cameras requires at least 1.20 × 1.20 metres. The actual space required depends on the camera arrangement, subject and backdrop. A large Gaussian Splatting setup takes around 2 to 3 hours to install. A standard setup with 12 cameras and 2 lights normally only needs a household power socket. Very large systems may require several separately protected electrical circuits.

Who delivers, installs and operates the system?

pixow handles transport, setup, installation and dismantling. We generally need access to the area 2 to 3 hours before the event starts. Technical support remains on site during operation and can also guide guests through their captures if requested.

When is the finished Gaussian Splat video ready?

The classic Bullet Time loop is ready after around 3 to 6 seconds. The control computer calculates an individual splat in around 30 to 40 seconds. For high capture volumes, additional processing hardware can distribute the workload across several computers. This allows the finished videos to be delivered to guests promptly even when many captures are being processed. The actual processing time depends on the setup, system and workload.

How do guests receive their Gaussian Splat video?

The edited video can be delivered through a sharing kiosk, a personal QR code or by email. Depending on the event, results can be sent directly to guests' smartphones.

Which effects, formats and branding options are available?

Camera moves and motion effects can be combined. Logos can appear as an overlay or be placed spatially in front of the person or between the person and the backdrop within the 3D scene. Output is available in portrait, landscape and several versions at the same time.

Are internet access and weather protection required?

Internet access is not normally needed for capture and local delivery. It is useful for QR codes, email and a sharing kiosk. The system must be protected from the weather at outdoor events.

Your venue, dates and occasion are the starting point. An idea for the subject, details of the available space, the estimated number of guests and your preferred delivery method help us plan. We work through any open questions together.
